Im going to leave the reasons why galactus wants to eat mephist up to you very unimaginative people,let it suffice to say that in this "what if" scenario galactus DOES want to eat mephisto and HAS found a way into his realm so mephisto MUST defend himself.

don't think that could happen! Galactus is looking for planets with a satisfactory LIFE force---and mephistos realm wouldn't have any!
But if The big G had to fight a no holds barred fight with M--in his realm--I'd think Galactus would be in a 'world' of trouble!

Galactus only consumes planets ..
Mephisto is not a planet..
