Since you don't even have a clue as to what to do I really don't think you should be trying to breed them, it can be very costly and time consuming. They need to be conditioned, you have to have the right set up, they fry need to be feed live food that you will have to grow yourself and once all the males are old enough they each need their own tank. What do you plan on doing with hundreds of babies? Most petstore wont take them because they have a suppliers already and unless they are quality breeding stock and not the plan veiltails from the petstore most people wont buy them from you either. Check out these links to learn more about it,

There are tons of links to help you out even more and a few of the people are betta breeders.

When the male is ready, mine are usually ready in winter. They blow bubbles that float on the surface of the bowl. When the bubbles are thick and plentiful put the female in with him. She lays the eggs in a few hours and he fertilizes them. Make sure you take the female out right after or he'll kill her. He puts the eggs in the bubble nest and will look after them. When they hatch he will continue to look after them till around a month after then he'll eat them. Take them out before then. And there you have it!
