Ok so I don't know what to do. I'm starting to get lots of hair "down there" and I recently read a survey that said 95% of women shave down there. So does that mean like all of it? Because I heard that you get red bumps and it hurts really bad. So what should I do? And what exactly is deuching? (sp?) Because a group of boys was talking about it today, I've got a clue as to what it is...but not really sure.

Go with the natural look. Don't listen to adolescent boys, they don't know what they're talking about.

You can shave however much you're comfortable with. I've known girls who don't shave any of the bikini hair, some who only shave what might show outside their underwear or swimming suit, and some who shave it all. It's really just personal preference.

As for douching, some women use them, others don't. It's a kind of bottle with an open tube at the top that you squeeze the bottle and it floods up into the vagina to clean it. But a lot of doctors say douching is actually bad as it removes the good bacteria that you need and that can cause other problems.

Sure you can shave your pubic area! However, you should get a good razor because the cheaper priced models will most likely cause the red bumps you are tring to avoid. Many women shave everything, but a small triangle in front. I use the Venus razor and have had no problems. Also, to avoid bumps, be sure to keep up with the shaving, like every time you take a shower.
As for the douch thing, that is a seperate issue and I did not know they still sold them because it causes bladder infections. Douches are liquid that you put into your vagina that has a purfume scent to it. Women do not need this. As long as you keep up with good hygeine, your good to go!

I don't recommend shaving "down there". It is irritating and does cause ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Nobody's going to see it unless you walk around naked, and the hair is there for protection. I tend to question that survey. Women shave the bikini area as it looks gross having hairs peeking out of a bathing suit or short shorts, but there's no good reason for shaving the entire pubic area.

Douching is cleansing the vagina with a special type of syringe. Again, it is not necessary to douche, unless your doctor advises it, as the vagina normally cleans itself. If you have an infection in the vagina, douching will make it worse. Don't listen to the boys. They have no business talking about douching anyway. Ditto, the surveys. Surveys can be very inaccurate, as no one knows how many people are surveyed, nor can you be sure of the accuracy of the responses given.

Douching is introducing fluids like water and vinegar into the vagina. It used to be thought that douching was necessary to maintain freshness of the vagina and genital area.

That has since been found to be incorrect; the vagina is able to keep itself clean with the thin, clear or whitish discharge most women have. If a woman has an infection in her vagina, douching can send the infection deeper into her uterus, causing more problems.

Not all women shave thier pubic hairs; some choose to leave things as they are, others choose to just trim the hairs while others go to various lengths to shave. Some just shave their bikini line (the sides of your thighs), while others go so far as to shave everything.

If you decide to shave your pubic hair in any way, here are some tips to reduce ingrown hairs and other discomfort.

1. Trim the hairs first.
2. Have a hot shower to soften the hairs
3. Use lots of shave gel
4. Shave in the direction of hair growth
5. Gently clean the area after shaving.

You may still get ingrown hairs and you will probably itch as the hairs grow back in, but the above steps will help make things a bit easier.

well it depends on the girl, some girls shave all the way or brazilian wax and sum girls leave a little portion of hair, so if u fell comfy wid lots of hair down there then stay like dat and if u feel uncomfy then shave it and trim it, whether u wana shave it all or not is ur choice & deuching means cleaning ur vagina wid a certain tissue paper, deuching is bad it makes ur vagina dry as it cleans off the moisture & can cause infections and u need moisture in ur vagina

okay shaving. most women shave in the bikini zone. and yes the skin is sensitive down there. so there is actually a lotion called "bikini zone" which i use and help alot with the ingrown hairs and irritation. they do hurt too. you shoudl do whatever you feel comfortable with. dont have any of your friends tell you what to do. i usually just shave and trim down there to be honest. i have tried veet and nair down stairs and never do that! it hurts sooo much!! never use hair removal products down there! lolol i can tell you that from experience
as for deuching. it is basically a bag wiht a hose attatche to is you stick the hose "up there" and squeeze the bag filled with water so it basically cleans you vagina out. it is not adviseable to do this as it flushes otu the good bacteria and can lead to infectsions. also having unprotected sex then deuching with water, soda, whatever will not get rid of the sperm it will only push them up farther in there to further fertilize the egg.

You mean "douching" it has absolutely nothing to do with hair removal. It's when women (sexually active women) put this weird thing that looks like a baloon in their vagina and squeeze water in and it cleanses it out. They do it regularly.

....

As for hair removl. Yes.. It's true most women shave it. Some shave it all off, and other like to leave a hair shaped or triangular tuft of pubic hair. It depends on what you like. My best friend chooses to not shave her pubic hear because she feels it's taking away her womanhood.... So yea... Like I said, it depends on what you like. And if you do shave, be careful not to cut yourself. But if you wax you won't get any bumps. Although it'll hurt like hell.. Good luck.

I don't believe shaving down there is natural, but I've also been exploring that too lately. I think also if you just use a good razor, you won't get as many bumps, make sure not to use a cheap one, and be sure to be careful and use PLENTY of gel, soap, conditioner, or whatever, if you decide to.

douching is actually a birth control measure that isn't so effective that's why it's not usually recommended.... you use it after sex and it's "supposed" to wash the semen out but you can never be sure... it'll only wash the vaginal canal not the uterus itself where some sperm might have entered already...

in shaving you will get red bumps if you shave it all of... there are some hair removing creams out in the market but it might irritate your genitalia... try cutting them with scissors... just not too short... you'd end up itching
