i have black and white pumas (they are like suede or something). the white part is turning blue from my jeans. what can i do to get rid of this without ruining my shoes? also, is there anyway to prevent this from happenening? my jeans have been washed many times and it still happens.
also, what can i do to to just plain clean my pumas?

The color has not been set. You can try to soak them in a big bucket with cold water and lots of white vinegar. Then, after about an hour, you can rinse them in cold water and dry.

see if that works if it does not ......call the Customer Service department (speak with the head of that department), of the place that the jeans were made from. Be very polite. Tell them the dye from your jeans has ruined your WHITE puma shoes. See if they will help you or refund the money for your shoes that is a costly expense to you. Take pictures of the dye on your shoes as evidence. be persistant. I had this happen with a pair of Levis straights and a cream colored long deer skin coat. They refunded my coat cost and sent me new jeans. It was a bad dye lot.

To clean the white part you can use the mr clean magic eraser, take your time and dont press to hard. The sponge drips if you press to hard.

I have used vinegar or Woolite to do it. I find Woolite too gentle and prefer the vinegar methos. Yeah, it smells like pickles but your shoes look a little better.

try a mr. clean sponge, thath little thing works wonders!

put them in the washing machine and use a little bleach on it not directly on them but put it in there first not color shoes tho but{ white shoes}.
