You're coming in at the start of the peak period (Nov - Dec), so if you're looking for a good hotel, it's safer to book. Otherwise you might have to settle for very basic lodgings. Most hotels will accept internet bookings.

Hi Kata,
It is safer to confirm a reservation before travelling to Singapore. As far as I know, this is the peak season and most hotels in Orchard Road (shopping district) are fully booked.

depends on what kind of accommodation you need, if you want to stay in high end hotels it is better to book in advance. If not, you can try looking for hostels/backpackers place, usually they have rooms available.
