Go to the county court house in Ventura. Go to their vital statistics department and request a copy of your mothers birth certificate. You'll need her full name, date of birth and the name of the hospital she was born at, which you already have. The clerk at the department should be able to cross reference the information to locate her birth certificate. Once located, the name of her parents, your grandparents, should be listed on the certificate. You should be able to track them down with the information on them listed. Other information on your grandparent's such as their DOB, place of birth should be also available. The rest is good old fashion leg work to track them down. Good luck, hope this helps you to get started in your quest.
