How do I make sure I find every little sliver from a broken candle holder? (The tall stem ones)? I broke it when I was making a christmas center piece, it fell over and shattered against the table, onto the floor, (part carpet, part lineolum) over a chair. I have animals and I don't want my two cats and puppy to get the glass in their paws.
I vacummed with a hand vacumm, and swept, but I always seem to find more glass after doing those things. (I am quite clumsy, and break things at least once a month.)

after the vacuuming and sweeping, wrap a few yards of masking tape around your hand and pat pat pat the area for as long as you can stand it. If there are any invisible shards left, the tape will capture them.

vaccum at a super slow speed just moving the vacuum everso slightly forward. If you have any hard surfaces a wet papertowel will pick up the glass. Make sure to cover a wider area than you think you have to. Work slowly.

i find after you vacuum that if you put your head on the ground and scan along the floors surface area that you will find more slivers.

it helps if you have a fair bit of light because you will see the reflection

Use a strong flashlight. Shine it over the area where you suspect the glass may be. It will shine brightly when the light hits the glass reflection....
Good luck
