Because while hardware (computing power, storage) has advanced tremendously, software (the programs you run) has not. Sure, there are more programming languages than before, but the methodology has not generaly improved (and people don't follow it properly amyway). Schedules are ridiculous, companies want to get something done quickly rather than properly, everyone gets feature happy, nothing gets tested properly, schedules do not leave time for finding bugs, and everyones software ends up getting tested in the public domain.

When i started with computers over 10 years ago there was 10 million more problems, but now days people dont protect there computers, so only there computer is slow.

becuase fire walls may have gone up but so have hackers and viruses such as 10 years ago castlemedia aboutblank alot of the viruses that are here today weren't there 10 years ago. GO FIGURE!

If its man made it s bound to break down. There are those that like to mess up your life by infecting your computer.
The best thing to do is keep up with updates or keep off the internet.

Because you more that likely have spyware on your computer... People don't know how to stop getting them infected and other people won't stop making viruses lol
