Do well in high school like A's--B's if you don't want to work for the UN.

Go to a real university like University of Illinois, California, New York, etc (if you want to work for the UN). And, get a undergrad (bachelor's) degree (4 years of college) in pre-law, political science, history, criminal justice, or a particular studies (like asian studies, or something).

Then get accepted into law school (University of Arizona, Harvard, Oxford--for the UN). (You'll probably spend 2 to 4 years more of school--depend on any specialities and internships.) (So a total of 6 to 8 years of school after high school.)

You can applied directly to the UN (see below), but getting to know some of your U.S. Government politicians (not necessary state government) might give you an added leverage.

To be an attorney in the US requires that you take the bar exam in the state you wish to practice in. The requirements for taking the bar vary from state to state, but most states require a Bachelor's Degree and a Law Degree from an accredited institution. You are also required in most states to take the Professional Responsible Exam.

Admission to law school normally requires a good LSAT score and decent undergrad grades.

There are a few states where a law degree is not required.

And a clean record is also required.
