Question

i just turned on my pc a little while ago, windows comes up w/ a error box sayong, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cmd.com, an invalid file system or something or rather. i googled it, it seems it could be a bug or virus. Yesterday about the same time i turned on my pc and i logged in and the taskbar was gone, restarted, did the same thing for a while then it came up. HELP PLEASE!! i dont want my computer to be messed up! what doi i do?

You have a virus which has tried to replace the true file cmd.exe

Run both a viral and malware scan, firstly in safe mode, and then repeat in normal boot mode - should easily remove the issue

It sounds like either you got a virus or spyware. You may try to run virus or spyware scans from safe mode (restart your computer and pressing F8 key several times until the option menu appear), however I have a feeling that the operating system has been compromised so badly that even if the scans have removed the culprit, you will still have problems running your computer properly. Not to mention that if you installed new softwares to scan for the problems, it may make your computer even more unstable.

My suggestion is to back-up all your data files and e-mails (if you are using Outlook) to a CD or USB flash drive. Then format your HDD and reinstall your Windows and programs back. This will make sure that the bugs and problems on Windows will be gone. However make sure that you have the CD for Windows and other softwares handy, since formatting will ERASE EVERYTHING from your HDD.

scan pc in safemode use this to do it with & that trojans. virus .malware , spyware will go

then you go to safemode on ur pc. restart pc. as pc is starting up. keep hitting on (F8) key you come to a menu . go to safemode . hit on enter then enter again. pc will go to login screen . go to ur user name hit on that
then run .da scan to find that spyware& malware
when found . delete da .spyware. then restart pc
