If you are willing to spend so much time and money to help people and make money, go ahead. But remember, you can't make a mistake as a doctor. You've got to be perfect or you can kiss money and even your medical license away. A doctor is an admirable profession, but there's other professions that are just as maybe more admirable and require less time and money to become. But the most important thing is to do what you want to do.

its up to u
i wanted to be a pediatrician and helping kids cause i love kids
but seeing sick kids was going to be hard for me since I'm sensitive and emotional
i saw a video from anatomy about a child who needed surgery and i guess from that i realized i cant handle it
i dont like the idea of giving bad news
not a big fan of hospitals also
and i doubt I'm strong enough to handle it
so after i told u everything lol
just look into ur heart and see if u see urself doing it
can u handle long hours and having good and bad news to tell people each day
i was thinking if i should answer this because i didn't want to make u change or mind then get mad at the girl from the yahoo answers but why not give my opinion
good luck

Good for you! We need more doctors. I don't know about the tons of money, though. Since managed care took over, doctors don't make as much money as they used to.
If the studies are too much for you, you might consider becoming a nurse practitioner. They are in great demand also.

ok well let me tell u something, if u are only in it for the money then it's totally not worth it. u'll get bored and eventually drop out and all that $ will go to waste. stick to it if it's your life-long dream and because u truly feel the need to help others. who knows maybe someday u'll find a new cure.
i love the study of anotomy and i will go through whatever it takes to get thru med school, get my phd and become the best i can doing the thing i love.
good luck and god bless
