technically, theres always a chance of pregnancy if you have had intercourse. period. whoops, play on words perhaps>? :) however, the odds are in your favor as well as they could be if you were playing "the odds". the closer you are to your cycle b4 or after and even during for some is the only safe zones for not alot of ovulating going on then. its the 14 day FROM THE FIRST day of your period that is the fertilization days. actually anywhere in the vicinity of the 14 day is when you ovulate.
