good luck with 16.5 rims. cheaper in the long run to switch out to 16 or 17 inch rims. they are not making many 16.5 rims and tires for 16.5 are alot more expensive then they are for 15 16 or 17 inch rims

Go to a 16" rim. First 16.5 tires are extremely hard to find. Second there are a lot more options available in the 16" wheels and tires. Check any site that has a forum on 4 wheeling or find a wheel company and inquire about wheels that are specific to your application.

A friend of mine works in a metal fab shop and he made his own from regular stock wheels. He said it was a lot of work and not worth the effort. Not sure where you could buy any wider than 14".14" rims are plenty wide enough for 44's.
