You might need a real break from education. When I got in this kind of mood, I took a summer job and continued to work until the Fall semester was over. Since you have a scholarship, this might not be too easy. Do you lose your scholarship if you take a break. If you cant take a break, forget the chore of having a major and minor and just take a semester of classes that you want to take, not classes that you MUST take. In the long run, any college course you take will knock off some kind of requirement.

Just remember that it is okay to not care. Don't wait for fulfillment from class or to find your purpose in college. The point is to get a degree and allow yourself to move into a higher tax bracket at a relatively young age.

Let me apply some Bible principles; Prov.26:3 states; "A whip is for the horse, a bridle is for the ass, and the rod is for the back of the stupid one". You say you got a scholarship and you failed your first semester? Do you know what most of us have to go through to get into a college and even have to pay our way? If you go back to college and flunk again you deserve the rod. If you fail again then the next scripture applies to you; Prov. 24:30 states; "I passed by the field of the lazy individual and by the vineyard of the man in need of heart and, look! all of it produced weeds, Nettles covered its surface, and its stone wall itself had been torn down"......KECK

Seeing the "bigger picture" is a good motivator. When doing any task, understanding the rationale for doing it often results to excellent jobs.
In studying, you must be able to see why you are doing it. For example, if the course you're pursuing would land you on a computer career, you must vividly visualize that situation everyday using the five senses as well. That is your decision.

You need to find what keeps you going, why you wake up. Do you wake up each morning to see a girlfriend? Do you wake up each morning to go on your computer? Find what you live for. If you fail college that will probably be taken away and you will fail at life. Is that good motivation?

Get a part-time job slingin' hamburgers at a fast food joint and after a while ask yourself if it's what you want to do for the rest of your life.
