The day I got my first dog. The day I made my beautiful Elizabeth my wife. The day's my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth children were born. Each of their respective graduation days, and also the days they were accepted to university (subsequently leading me to the next stage, the day they moved away which become some of the saddest days!) All the different days my nine grandchildren were born. The day I retired. The day my wife finally lost her battle with cancer and passed on mercifully after seven long years of hospitals and treatment centers remains one of those days where you can't quite decide if you're happy or devastated, but in the end, you're both. I've had a wonderful life!

I could easily say the day of the births of my children, but trust me, those were not really great days. Let's see...pain, pain, push, push and oh by the way...would you like to breast feed now? The next day was always the best...when I could fully explore their little hands and feet and beautiful faces without feeling like I had just pushed a basketball out my ___! After that are a lifetime of trial and tribulations. They are grown now and every day that I talk to them is the happiest day of my life. Even as a single mother, I would have never traded it for the world.

As a teenager I can say the happiest day so far, or lets put it as this year,
was in the summer, on a summer day in July. Not a cloud in the sky that day in northern Pennsylvania State. Cherry picking with my grandma. I'll never forget laughing at the top of a ladder leaning against a cherry tree with her, just me and her in that ginormous orchard. That's something that I'll never forget. It was the best day ever.

How can you choose just one? If I have to choose just one out of the many romantic things that I have been blessed with it would have to be the birth of my first child. I would not want to make my other children jealous. It is just that the first is the one that makes a person see just why we really are here on this planet.
