I asked this question awhile ago, and here's the best answer i got:


First, the completion percentage rating is calculated as:

((comp/att) x 100 - 30)/20

Then, The rating for average yards per attempt is calculated as:

((yds/att) - 3) x 1/4

Next, the rating for touchdowns per attempt is calculated as:

(td/att) x 20

Finally, the rating for interceptions per attempt is calculated as:

2.375 - (int/att) x 25

The four results are then added, divided by 6 and multiplied by 100. The maximum passer rating is 158.3.

your passing, completion and interception average determines a rating. hope that answers it for ya.
