Umm...why not take a piece of rope or string and wrap that around your horse. Then measure that with whatever ruler/tape measure you have available.

You need to know both the girth size and the general size of her back so that you don't get a saddle that is too wide or too narrow for her (this can cause severe problems). I would suggest having a trainer or someone very knowledgeable about horses have a look at her and point you in the right "size" direction. This could save your horse some possible pain and you some money in the long run.

The average size is 48 to 50 inches for a quarter horse sized horse. My Arab and pony share a 42 a very large jumper or thoroughbred might need a 52 or 54. I'd recommend the 48 try it out you can always exchange it btu it should work well. you can raise and lower it on both sides to get a wide range of fit from one girth. I personally like mine to buckle high I can lower it if they gain weight or I ride a bigger horse. Good luck

??? Tape measures are at every hardware store, are not expensive...what are you looking for here? Any measurement needed by the saddle company can be translated from inches...so measure girth, length, sway, etc. and send them the measurements.

Do you have a piece of string or rope? Use the string/rope as you would a tape measure. Then, if you have to, go yo a hardware store and barrow their tape measure and measure the length of the string/rope!

usually the size of the saddle applies to the rider...
if your horse is thin or fat that will make a difference to the spread of the saddle..
perhaps you are worred about the girth?

she would wear a 50 or 48. probably 50. it would depend on how long the gullet (i think thats what it's called) was.
