The only thing that works for me, is an herbal medicine. If you go to a good herb store, they will have this section of dissolveable pills for EVERYTHING!!!! There is one that is either titled PMS or Cramps. They are both VERY good. They are the only ones that touch my pain, and I've even tried prescription pain medication. So, it's worth a shot, but each bottle is about $7, but it has 100 tablets in it.

If you miss your period there is always a chance you are, so long as you are sexually active. Symptoms usually dont show up for a couple weeks and some women dont get them at all. You should take a test and if its negative see your doctor to find out why you missed your period. Lots of things can cause it the not so serious change in diet or excersise or stopping or starting birthcontrol ect. However, it could be something serious such as a thyroid problem, ovarian cyst, UTI or other things that need medical attention so you should find out asap. If you are see your dr for that. Good Luck

Take 400 iu Vitamin E daily and twice daily during the period when cramps occur. Take calcium-magnesium-zinc tablets 2-3 times daily and double the dose during cramp times. Finally, take a good essential fatty acid supplement daily and double the dose when cramping.
Good luck!

Ibuprofen would be the ingredient to look for. Different companies have different names for it...Motrin and Advil are a few. I'd just buy the cheapest Ibuprofen. It's an anti inflammatory which eases the cramping and achy back.

I always knew that I would have cramps on the second day of my period, so I used to always take Tylenol on that day BEFORE the pain began. It worked wonders for me. Good luck!

I actually think that Advil works better then any specialized period meds. It takes away cramps that midol couldnt even touch.
