For example Akon, Maxi Priest, R. Kelly, Luther Vandross, Bob Marley, Percy Sledge, Louis Armstrong, Stevie Wonder are all black male singers and have all been very successful. If you would like to add your own singer black or white please say why you choose that person. (They can be living or dead (SInce I have included Bob Marley in my list))

After Denis DeYoung of STYX, I'd pick Nat King Cole -actually it might even be a 2 way tie. I agree, though. The best musicians and singers do seem to be black. Nat's voice is simply...unforgettable.

Okay why are you all saying that white singers are bad and only black singers are good. I like country and Rascal Flatts is white and he's really good!

I don't think that the being black, white, brown or yellow has any bearing on vocal ability.

With the exception of Charlie Pride who is half black, you got to be kidding. Classic country rules.
