The moon has a 28-day orbit around the earth so naturally there is a part of that cycle when it will be on the same side of the earth as the sun. Note though that you cannot have a full moon in the sky during the day since a full moon means that the earth, sun and moon all line up. You can have a new moon in the sky during the day since the moon is then between us and the sun and all we see is the dark side.

The moon is rotating the earth for one round for one month. But the earth is rotating the sun one round for one year only. The moon maintain the constant distance with earth and move along the earth. There fore some times you see the rise of both sun and moon in same time. The moon is always facing its one side to earth. The other side of the moon will be dark or light depending upon its position to the sun.You have 14 days night and 14 days day in moon.We in earth 12 hours day and 12 hours night.

While it's dark on one side of the earth and light on the other, sometimes, the sun rises at the same time that the moon begins to set and vice versa. The earth rotates and the sun and moon rise and set at the same rate sometimes. That's my best guess.

it all depends on the rotation of the earth.. during what we know as the day , our part of the earth is facing the sun but during the night our part is turned away from the earth you can see the moon because it is always out and because the earth is constantly rotating, it is visible
