Yeah, I'm in, kind of... but everybody seems to be worried about Hillary. Why worry about her? If the first two men in line for president fail, guess what? Nancy Pelosi gets to be president. She is more likely to get there than Hillary.

I believe Sen. (D) Hillary Clinton is a very strong potential candidate for the 2008 presidential election.

I think it will be a major achievement on America's mature and plural democracy to have a female as next president. Recently Austrian native Arnold Schwarzenegger is the Governor of California State, also this mid-terms elections features the first Muslim Representative in Congress Keith Ellison by the Democrats in the Senate, showing America's commitment in the right for diversity in politics including (but not limiting to) sex, race, and religion.

I believe that if Hillary Clinton makes her way towards the Presidency it will be another woman in charge of running a country. I also believe she can be a great president.

Right now Germany's Angela Merkel and Chile's Michelle Bachelet leads the way on female presidents in the world.

The simple answer to both questions is, it depends on who the women is.

For example there is alot of talk around about the possibility of Hillary Clinton being the next president. I wouldn't feel good about that. The effect that it would have on the country would be horrific.

On the other if the next President was a woman of charecter (which Ms. Clinton is not), a woman of substance, a woman of genuine ideas (again not talking about Senator Clinton here), the I would be all for it. The effects of this on the country would be to move the country forward.

This is a bad question because if you are still bring gender into voting for a candiate then it sounds so backward. I would vote for a woman president if she brought good issues and resolution to the "table" to the affects to our country (I am guessing the US) there should be none that couldn't be achieved through a male president.

I am open to a female President. Like any other candidate, I would vote based upon her platform and the issues.

YES! I would love for a woman to be president. I think it would do great things for our foreign policy and help to get rid of influence from ultra-conservatives (since most of them preach ideas that women should be submissive...and I doubt any woman with the guts to run for president would agree with that ideology). Unfortunately, the majority of men hate the notion of women having power, and have been socialized to see us as weak and controlled by hormones, so I don't think a woman will be elected as president in the next few decades.

I say yes. If they're well educated, a good leader, and have some new ideas for running the country, I'm all for a female president.

this country is definitely ready for a female president, and wouldn't it be wonderful if her running mate was Tom Daschle from South Dakota

I would be just as happy. It will be interesting to see who the "First Man" is. LOL. But a woman can do the job. Other countries has women presidents, rulers and queens. So, why not here?

Well, look at Condeleeza Rice. So, why would a woman not have the ability to be president?
