Treat all employees fairly.
Treat all customers fairly and honestly.
Have a greater goal than the bottom line of profit which will benefit others.
Pay your bills in a timely manner.
Do not offer goods or services which will harm a customer or that are sold as better than they are.
Do not take advantage of a competitor's misfortune.
Realize that you are there to serve.

I love Joe Cool's response. But in all reality, I don't think business is run that way. I think that they are out for all of the money they can make. I think an ethical business would try to make as much money as it can, while working within in the frameworks of the law, not try to injure the public, and use it's workforce to their maximum potential, and try to gain the publics trust.

It boils down to the Golden Rule - treat others as you want to be treated. Be respectful, follow the law, pay your taxes and bills, and mostly, just do the right thing!
