It's the first time in history that not 1, not 2, but all 3 broadcasters suck. I can stomach Tirico, I guess, but Kornheiser and especially that moran Joe Theisman are possible the worst pair in the history of sports broadcasting. MNF is f*in up.

I am 44 and I have been watching MNF for a long time. I think this is the worst ever.
I remember when Joe Namath was on for a year, he was bad.
But this group in horrible. They are boring, lack chemistry, talk over each other, argue and are seldom on the same page. You can disagree, but still be on the same page. These guys aren't.
Theisman and Kornheiser don't seem to like each other. Tirico is a boring dork.
Sunday night football is much better. Michaels and Madden are fantastic, and the opening jam with Pink rocks, and makes MNF seem old and irrelvent.

No, i individually like John Gruden on Monday Nights. i think of that Sunday night is the worst group in soccer. Chris Collinsworth is the worst announcer there is. the way he talks he could be the proper QB, RB, WR, LB, S, CB, DT, DE, OL, facebook, TE, head coach, offensive coordinator, protective coordinator, specific communities coach, and cheerleader interior the league. unfortunately, he's no longer. he's in certainty the worst announcer interior the league and grew to become into merely a somewhat above consumer-friendly WR whilst he performed.

NO

remember the Dennis Miller era?

But in general sports announcing is going down a steep, oily hill very quickly and gaining momentum. Especially the colour commentators, but also, although to a lesser extent the play-by-by guys. It seems today, that all the networks care about when hiring these people is their willingness to stick to the pre-determined story lines and promote other network programing. And as a final measuring stick, how entertaining they are. Always remember to explain the game to knowledge level of the casual fan. Never dumb it down too much for the uniniated such that it offends the hard-core fans (too much), but NEVER let the discussion get to too indepth that it might confuse the casual observer.

it's frustrating, but that's the way it is.

I actually think Kornheiser and Theismann are a good combo - a former player, and a long time media guy. They have some good observations, and are entertaining.

The weakness is Turico. He is not nearly as good as Al Michaels.

The celebrity visits to the booth have been going on for years, I don't like them either. I also don't like the beginning of the game, when the players announce their team's starting lineups ... seems like you miss action listening to them jabber about nicknames and other useless blah blah blah.

Dan Deirdorf, Dan Fouts: They ******* blow.
Al Micheals: Dido

Well Kornheiser seems to love to insult Theismann every time he gets the chance . . . yeah, I liked Al Michaels and John Madden (arguably best sportscasting duo ever in history of sports) better

I would have to say yes. Dennis Miller was funny, but at least he was knowledgeable about football. Kornheiser...I love his radio show, but he is horrible at commentary.
