can sinthetic polymers only make plastics?? if not what else can they make??? :) thanks!

They can make fabrics. Polyesters go not only into bottles, but also shirts, suits, and blouses.

They can make rubbers. Polyisoprene, whether from a rubber plant or a chemical plant, can be cooked up with sulfur and fabricated into tires.

They can make paints. The oldest type is linseed oil, mixed up with pigments and fillers, then left to dry in the air to a linseed oil polymer.

They can make people. *alpha*-amino acids string together, forming amide bonds between the carboxyl -COOH group of one and the amino group -NH2 of the other to form proteins.

They can make more people. A molecule of deoxyribose, connected to a "base" called adenine, cytidine, guanine, or thymine, can be esterified with phosphoric acid. The resulting deoxyribonucleic acids (DNA) can link together by ester bonds to form polymers that spell out the blueprint for a human being.
