Do you realize that you can't value what you don't earn?

(1) Look up summary of Book 2 under "Odyssey" "Homer" "Cliff Notes"
(2) Read the summary and/or print it out. If there is not enough detail, look through other links for descriptions of events that match the word list.
(3) Highlight any event that you can describe using 1-5 of the words.
(4) Pick 5 or more to write a letter where Homer is telling a friend what he experiences. [NOTE: If you can use more than 5, do it! You may earn personal points with your teacher for showing greater interest and effort beyond the minimum required. This makes a difference if you run into trouble later, and need to ask for extra time or assistance. Teachers are more likely to work with you the more effort you have invested based on your previous track record.]
(5) Simplest words: Shroud, Quest, Peril. Then I would look for ways to use Shun, Adorn, Contentious or Insidious.
Whatever ideas you notice first, use those first until you have 5.
If you can use all the words, I encourage you to try; but at least get the 5 done first before you take on any Herculean tasks.

Don't panic. Just print out summaries and highlight events you can use; then organize your sentences from there. Again, with easier exercises, if you show maximum effort, the teacher may give you more slack later when the assignments get harder. I would invest early on to develop a good first impression.

If this is for homework PLEASE read it and it IS online. It's been too long since I had this in college. I can only think of how his men ate Apllo's sheep when they were starving and he told them not to ( being a god he didnt even feed them the schmuck) so MAYBE Odyyseus might write something like:

Dear Family:

am in peril on my quest to return home to you but am still under the supplication of Poseideon. The insidious Apollo is letting us stay on his island but there's no food and my men ate his sheep so I have to pay restitution. I ador you and adorn you in my heart with love, don't let your hope dwindle no matter how tumultuous things may get. don't shroud yourselves in misery.

love, odysseus

PLEASE read before you go by me ok? i dont want to help you fail and I just pulled this out of my butt from reading this a LOOOOOOOOng time ago. GOOD LUCK.

Vin
