If the CD in question takes time and effort and is personal to the two of you - nothing at all. If you are just going to do a download rather than buy it in the shops it is a nasty thing to do and a dumpable offence.

Geez! There's nothing wrong with making her a cd. It's much more thoughtful than plunking down some dough for a cd. Not to mention more effort!
I would burn some songs that mean something to the both of you and include some of her favorites and even one or two you might want to share with her.
Good Luck and have a great Christmas!

There is nothing cheap about making a CD for the one you love. She will think about it every time she sees or plays it.
As far as the other, post, anyone who puts down a genuine thoughtful act is something between a money grubbing Prat and outright Git!

I would love it if someone made me a CD. Much more sentimental than a bought gift. It shows that time & effort has gone into it.

Stuff those money grabbing people and do what you like!

Didn't see your last question but i think the idea of making a cd for (i take it) your girlfriend is a very thoughtful idea. A lot of thought will obviously go into it as it will have songs on the way you feel about her and songs that remind you of her and her of you.
Go for it I would find it a very romantic gift.
Had one made for me by an ex of mine now but still have it as a memory.

Make a cd of music she likes and something that you like that way it's a small way for her to get to know you better.
