Contraceptives are a wonderful thing, I believe wholeheartedly in giving women the right to decide wether or not to become pregnant. I also believe wholeheartedly in keeping abortion legal. Women fought for many years, and in some ways still are fighting for thier rights. I have the right not to be forced to give birth to a rapist's baby. I also have the right to preserve my life for my 2 yr. old son. This isn't a question of "murder". My belief is that if a fetus cannot survive outside the womb, then you are not "killing" anything. I don't belive in abortion as a means of birth control. But you have to take the good with the bad. There are people on death row right now, that are completely innocent, but we just accept it. We accept it because it's better to let a few innocent men die in the name of keeping the scum off the streets. It's better to have some abortions for the wrong reasons, to insure rights for the women who have legitimate reasons for wanting and needing abortions. If abortions were made illegal again, that wouldn't stop them from happening. It would just mean more women hemmoraging, or dying of infections from abortions done in dark, dirty offices. My plea to America, especailly all you women out there, is DO NOT let this happen. Do not take us back to that way of life. Everyone says adoption is so much better because there are loving families out there who need babies. If there are so many families who would adopt all of these aborted fetuses, then why are so many kids in foster homes with no one to call "mom" or "dad". Most people who decide not to support keeping abortion legal, don't look at all sides. Not everyone who gets an abortion is a sixteen yr. old who was too lazy to use birth control.

Lemmie tell you, an egg will die if it is not fertalized, and a sperm will die if it doesnt find it's destination with an egg. so contraceptives arent really killing anything, it is just keeping the two apart. Abortion should be an option for all women, but is something that should be a last resort, granting the mother knows all the risks she is taking with he own body, and the phycological after shocks she will have. Killing something intentionally isnt right, but also picking your nose and eating it isnt right iether, yet i see people do it in their cars more than i need.
Thinking about adoption is a much better option than abortion, even if your a young teen that is healthy. Just think it through, this is a free country(for the most part)

As far as contraceptives each person has to do what their conscience allows. I see it as preventitive, and so it isn't harmful to another life. I myself stay away from them for the negative side effects, those proven and some not. Maybe they will find out it causes cancer....so that is each ones decision. Abortion I believe never should have been allowed. Each person should be protected by the law, not murdered. If I could I would make it illegal, I think murder at any age is still murder and never morally okay. Life begins at conception whether you agree or not, the thing about truth is it isn't based on opinion but FACT. A baby is a baby from the time they are conceived, they are already developing everything in their body and their hearts are beating in the womb. They can hear at 16 weeks, and if born early can live with medical help, which proves they are a life and not tissue until 40 weeks. What tissue can breath and has capability of life? If they are just tissue why are they fully formed before that and capable of living born premature???? Another issue I take up is how can we determine when life begins.....who are we? If we start trying to decide for ourselves then in our imperfection we can also one day decide to kill 2 week old babies, or 2 year olds....what stops us from murdering people with health issues? Only the Maker can decide, and He knit them together in the womb and new their name!!!!!

I am all for contraceptives.. they aren't killing anything, although some religions believe that doing anything to prevent sperm from reaching/fertilizing an egg is taboo... Wouldn't that mean that male masterbation is also taboo? lol Anywhoo. Contraceptives are a great form of population control, not to mention excellent for couples who still enjoy intercourse but are not ready for children, or have a few already and wish to have no more. Abortion on the other hand... I am for abortion in cases of rape and medical need, and for very early abortions.. but I am not fond of late term abortions or partial-birth abortions (which I am pretty sure are illegal now anyways)

Contraception doesn't involve killing anything it prevents sperm from meeting egg. If people use abortion for contraception, they have to live with themselves. They are stupid for not using PREVENTATIVE contraception and now something innocent has to pay with its life. I don't support these people in their decisions, but it is THEIR decision to make.
I have had to have two clinical abortions for health reasons and if it wasn't for the methotrexate injection, I would probably be dead.
There are a lot of pro-lifers out there who think all women get abortions because they don't want kids. Well I want kids and I tried to have them four times. Two times I lost the baby naturally and two were developing outside my uterus. Prolifers don't think about the fact these babies die anyway. My question for these people is, isn't one death better than two especially when the one is inevitable? Prolifers claim that it's murder to perform an abortion, well its murder to let a woman die when it can be prevented using a simple injection. God helps those who help themselves.

I believe in pro choice, which means that each person has to make the right decision for themselves. Therefore it is my opinion that these options should be open to people.
I am not saying people can't have an opinion, what I am saying is that everyone has the right to make their own decisions, and no one has the right to judge them for that...regardless of what they believe.
For me, personally I don't believe in abortion, except health reasons, but that is for me....I have been the support for friends who have had abortion and been fine. Sound weird, not really, because I understand everyone has the right to create their own lives.
I used to be very anti abortion and contraception...until I fell pregnant with my first. I was faced with some really difficult decisions and that made me realise that nothing is black and white...there are so many areas in between. (hope you get what I mean here)

Ugh, abortion is an atrocity against women. The amount of physical and psychological damage it does to unsuspecting women who think they can just "clean up a mistake" is awful. Not to mention how the acceptance of abortion in our society means that women are often pressured into it by misguided and well meaning loved ones.
Of course, the solution to abortion is birth control. If everyone had access to birth control and knew how to use it, accidents wouldn't happen. A lot of people can't afford birth control, or they don't know where to get it, or are afraid to ask for it - especially in the case of younger people who are sexually active, because they are worried that somehow their parents would find out.

this is an issue that no one has a right to tell another what to do. you are not going to have to pay for what somone else did if you read your bible and while you're at it see if it says judge not les ye be judged if you are going to play the christan card lets play it al the way not just bend it to suit your own personal way of life. lets stop being dictators and leave other people alone. i personally will never have an abortion or use borth control but if you want to use pills or what have you go to it i'll be the last one to say no you can't do that. further more i'm sick and tired of hearing about this.

i would just let everything be the way it is. in a perfect world all babies would turn out healthy and normal and girls wouldn't have sex unless they were mature enough to do so and men wouldnt rape innocent girls that can cause them to get pregnant and sometimes ending in an abortion. but life is life its full of the ups and downs and when a woman has an abortion she will need to deal with that for the rest of her life and we are not the ones to judge.
