Why do people feel the need to plan events for MY birthday? I don't mean to sound like Ebenezer Scrooge, but why would you call me on my birthday like hey i got you some cake. Come eat it. Maybe I don't want no cake huh? In my opinion you should call and say Happy Birthday, and then wait for me to invite you to spend MY special day doing what I want to do. If I don't, oh well. Get over it. Your day will come. Does anyone agree or is that cynical of me?

Makes a lot of sense, but you should lighten up the wording before you tell it to people.

Sounds to me like u have lazy friends. But i agree u should spend your birthday the way u want to.
