A lot of time people become impatient and don't realize that most of the time the problem has nothing to do with the cashier. Some people might yell at the cashier over the price of something or because they didn't bag something right. I have just learned that people (especially around the holidays) are rude, inconsiderate, and very impatient when they go into a store to get something. Everyone just needs to lighten up and enjoy life!

Probably because most of them don't stop and think that those cashiers are having to spend their time having to put up with the likes of them. They also tend to think that because they "work at menial jobs" unlike those who do 9-5 M-F that they are beneath them on the class scale. So it's just easier to put them down, yell, curse or whatever to show they are bigger than the people who DO work retail non-management jobs for a living. Oh.. and since most cashiers tend to be younger than the customers... do the math.

The only reason I would ever do it is if the cashier was rude to me first.
As for other people some of them think that are better than other because they have a "more important" job or they have more money and treat people in the service industry like servants.

i know what you mean. if im buying burgers at mcdonalds and they mess up, i never yell at the cashier. the cashier didnt prepare my burgers so there is no reason for me to yell at the cashier doing her job. people are stupid. and you definetely dont ever wanna yell at a cook. unless you want mcspit in your burger!

I'm not sure, I've never yelled at a cashier. I just quietly bit** as I'm walking out of the store.

Because the Customer is always right. LOL
Seriously, I think it is frustration over prices, I have seen that happen alot. A reason I don't like to shop anymore.
