I have to write this story and I'm trying to get "in the zone"... Ha ha... :-)

You can't really will yourself "in the zone", it just kind of happens.
Hang in there, the next thing you know, you'll realize, "Man, I'm in the zone."

I usually leave what I'm doing and go lie down.
With your eyes shut just imagine the scenario your trying to write about. All sorts of things will come into your mind.
Your a good writer you'll get in the Zone.

I put on classical or mostly instrumental music and turn the lights low, most importantly after the rest of my family has gone to bed! That's why I stay up late many nights....

I have to do lots of projects, its so hard to focus without being in the zone!!!!!! I just keep thinking of how nice it wil be when it is all over!!!!!

Listen to instrumentals and that's usually it, since I get hyped listening to music anyways
