I'm fairly sure it's about the same across the board- gender issues are very complex, but in a simple way, as well.
I just can't say more without some details.

I'm not really sure but I'd say to be on the safe side that the doctor should be of the same sex as the patient(same for the nurses if there is the possibility of a patient having to disrobe).
While it might not be an issue, it is bound to solve any potential problems.

What ever you do don't show him a pictorial depiction of the Prophet Mohamed or you'll end up being the patient.

what???the person is a human being in need of help,their gender or color of watchband should have no bearing what so ever on the quality of care they are given
