Depends. If they use this opportunity of controlling Congress to bring about cooperation across party lines and make real change, then yes. If they continue the bickering and in-fighting with the Republicans, thereby creating no change and maintaining the status quo, control of Congress will backfire on the democrats in 2008 during the presidential elections when the people will once again 'vote for change'. So let us hope some consensus building can start and the people of America can come first for once.

No, I think we partly won by default. People are mad at one party, so they backlash with the other party.
I wish third parties would get stronger so there would be less of this.
