to protect yourself you could loose your life as you know it because you would go to jail.the law does not protect us,the government does not protect us.if they did there would not be gangs.you take up arms and defend yourself you go to jail for takeing the law in your own hands.then in the eyes of people that think the law protects them will call you a killer when all you want to do is protect your way of life.if you can`t understand what i`m saying i`m sory.

Actually in my state, Oklahoma, we have a law in place that allows us to use any means/force necessary if we truly feel threatened. If the police can find no evidence to support that you commited the action they can't even arrest you. The catch is that you have to prove that you truly were in danger, but if you are it's fine to protect yourself.

if you can prove your affraid for your life, you can kill anyone under anycondition legally.

* not many exceptions to that
but you have to prove that " fear" thing
funny note, it's illegal shoot a person to purposely injure them, you legally have to shoot to kill
if someone breaks in your house, and your not affraid, it's not legal to kill them

in ny we have been told that if you shoot someone in self defense you had better make sure they are inside of your home.

it is perfectly legal to protect yourself....self defense.....it is not perfectly legal to hunt whoever hurt you down and hurt them back.
