Every now and then her breathing would stop abruptly. Her face would begin to turn purple. She is only 3 months old. What is it that she might have?

sounds like asthma-take her to a doctor..if she is having trouble breathing now-dial 911- don't play with it until you learn the signs & symptoms.

My daughter did the same thing at 10 weeks. We found out in the ER that she has Asthma. Talk about scary! But now we know what signs to watch for, what triggers it for her and how to give her breathing treatments when needed. She's almost 7 now, and hasn't had an attack in almost 2 years. Thank goodness most kids seem to grow out of it. Take the little one to the Dr and have her blood oxygen level tested and ask specifically about Asthma. Good Luck

It could definitely be asthma but I have a friend who's baby did that and it turned out to be a rare genetic disease and she died at six months so she needs to get to a doctor now!!!!!!!

well i have asthma. that would happen to me when i was a child and still does now. you need to take her to the doctor . the doctor put me on inhalers and this doesnt happen anymore. only if i dont take my inhaler. what happens is too much fluid build up on the lungs and it creates breathing problems.
