i am a big cel phone user but i dont know what bluetooth is so what is it???????

It is a technology that connects two Bluetooth enabled devices wirelessly. If you have a Bluetooth phone, and want a wireless headset for it, you have to buy a Bluetooth head set. Essentially the two devices with "talk to each other" and you will get to use your phone hands free. Just think two devices, wirelessly connected.

vb83 (something like that) got it right with her definition except that your phone's bluetooth can "talk" with 1 OR MORE devices, not just one device (it's actually in more recent models than in old ones) AND you can send out messages (like texts) to another bluetooth enabled phone (i know most sony ericssons can when you send such messages through notes or like sending a task...lemme not fill you wth jargons). anyway, you can also remote control another phone or computer (or a bluetooth enabled device at that) after PAIRING with the device. hey what do you know, your question is the 500th i've answered (wow, doesn't seem like to me but i enjoy helping out) cheers.

its a wireless connection. you can have a bluetooth (wireless) headset and be able to pick up the phone for example.
