As in for voting??? That was declared unconstitutional over 40 years ago. No, I,m not in favor of it. Why should someone have to pay in order to exercise their right to vote?

Poll taxes were a part of the "Jim Crow" laws that were declared unconstitutional more than 40 years ago by the Voters' Rights Act. They existed primarily to stop the poor, who were predominantly Black in the South from voting. To which state are you referring?
