In Harry Potter 3, Hermoine says that werewolves only respond to their own kind, but then does the call and the werewolf Prof. Lupin comes after her. Is this just a mistake? Because there's no way Hermoine can be a werewolf? Btw, I haven't read the books because I don't have the time, So I don't know.
Thanks for the help if given!

This event only happens in the movie, it absolutely does not happen within the book. The third Harry Potter movie is the one movie that is the least accurate with the books, most of the events that occurred within the use of the Time turner, where not within the book, including the whole meeting with Lupin episode (In the book, they move away in time, by going into Hagrid's cabin, Buckbeak never got near Lupin as a yearbook), Hermione's call never happened and whole throwing the snail thing to signal that the Harry Potter trio were to leave Hagrid's cabin also never happened within the book. So, it was just because the movie made the scene happen that way that Hermione could distract Lupin.

If you have time, and if you enjoyed the movies, I would really recommend reading the books, for they really are a good read.

She was making the sound of a lady werewolf. Or what would be assumed to be a lady werewolf, since she was howling at the full moon.

And you really should read the books. Take as long as you need, chapter at a time after dinner is good. Reading time after dinner is a lovely tradition. You could read to the whole family. In any case, these books are a publishing phenomenon, unique and fascinating. The movies pale by comparison, however much fun they may be.

being a werewolf and sounding like it is just an easy way of getting him to attack hermoine...other than that it's just the sound of a werewolfs are attracted to.

No - they are just old close friends - nothing more. Snape is being sarcastic when he says that, not implying it to be anything else. The scene is in the screaming shack when Sirius the dog drags Ron in through the Womping willow and Harry and Hermonie follow - Sirius is already there, and Snape follows them in there as does Lupin

Yeah, that's a slight flaw. I guess Hermione sounded enough like a werewolf to fool him. I don't know what Hollywood's explanation for that is.

Yep, probably a holywood fluke. That may lead to another question; are werewolves in wolf form attracted to humans, or wolves? Funny.

That doesn't happen in the books. It's a Hollywood flaw.
