1. She said that the day after Dale Earnhardt crashed the New York Times did not have a front page article. This was a lie, they did.
2. She said that during the Iran-Contra scandal that Reagan's approval ratings only fell from 80% to 75%. The article she cited actually said that his ratings fell from 63% to 47%.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a lie but in her latest book (Godless) she spends a chapter discussing evolution and she concludes that it's false but she misdefines the term 'biological fitness' in order to discredit it. If it's not a lie it's pure ignorance - you decide.
Plus the arragance of her to distort the science for political purposes is disgusting.

Because the public lets her get away with it. Keith Olberman had a session on his show. They took some quotes out of her book and proved she had not give credit on her cited pages. She had not used quotation marks nor given in-text citations. (credit)
