Yes, when I found my first love had cheated on me, I was so sick I lost 14kg in 2 days and by the end of the week I'd lost 20kg, I thought I was going to die. My best mate came and saved me. I'll never forget it.

From the answers, looks like everyone has. I can't "share" because I've never had a "broken heart." & please believe me, this isn't because I'm insensitive. I've been through so many crises you wouldn't want to know about them but perhaps I'm a "stoic"--in "romantic" relationships, I've always been the one to end them & perhaps, in that sort of circumstance, my "wisdom" in ending before hostilities or worse occurred, was my strength. As for death of someone loved, that is never "easy." Yet, the pain has much to do with PERSONAL LOSS, pehaps considered by some as selfish, but true. Things do not always seem "fair" but that's life, isn't it? I'm truly empathetic with anyone who has suffered severely from a "broken heart," yet--suffering changes nothing, & life does go on. Also, many lessons are learned from "loss." Learn, & move forward. Hokey as that may seem to some, it works. One harms only oneself with dragging around a "broken heart." Just think of all those wasted hours, days! Whatever. Is there truly any worth in that? I'm not criticising, I really hope that you can see there's another option, direction.

Yes. A few times actually. The loss of a loved one always makes me sick to my stomach. Did you know that most infants, if never shown love will die because they have no reason to live? It is true. One cannot thrive without love. Grief is gut wrenching. :(

Almost, yes. My first gf dumped me, and I really liked her, probably almost to the point of love, but she couldn't even tell me that she wanted to break up...she got her friend to do it. I didn't talk to anyone for about 3 days.
