Yes, several times, and I'm a white male.
I've found that most manual labor jobs, including factories, won't hire someone with a college education.
I sent my resume in 4 times to a certain factory for a line position.(twice in person, once at a job fair, and once online). I never got called for even one interview. Yet, in the meantime, I know of three people that got hired on for the same job I had applied for, and two just had high school diplomas, and one didn't even graduate from high school.

Let's start with social status discrimination. That started in highschool. Next experienced racism when I fell for someone of a different color than my own. Moved to small town in TX and received discrimination against women and my color. Flash forward 5 years, went to a Detroit bar with a group of friends. I was only white woman on the dance floor when the different hustles were going on. By the end of the dance, my friends were lined @ edge of floor waiting for me. I had been oblivious to the glares directed at me. Flash forward 5 more years. I now have a beautiful child. How do you explain to a 5 year old that a child raised in ignorance is not responsible for their actions.

My constant prayer is for God to open humanities eyes to a persons heart and character, not their color, ethnicity, religion, or sex.

White, in my fifties, long haired and bearded, and wearing a tie-dye tee shirt because I was selling handicrafts at a local show, I went into two stores in Hot Springs, Arkansas, trying to buy change and was told they didn't sell change. Everyone watched me very strangely all of the time I was in the stores. A friend went in a little later and was sold the change I needed. He was dressed normally, was clean-shaven, and had short hair.

I've had many such experiences, some of them much less pleasant.

I lost a job where I was the only one disabled in the workplace. That raised a lot of questions in my mind. Later, I found out the department head had fussed about having to deal with my disability. Those things together make me think I was targeted -- yes.

Yes, I am different than most women. Most people look at my hair and the way I dress(i ware all black and lots of rings and stuff) and they atomatically think that I am a freak. But really i am like everyone eles, just trying to be myself.

When, my husband and I announced that we were pregnant and getting married, my future FIL (my husband's bio dad and they are now estranged) warned my husband to be weary of my family. He claimed that they might say bad things about him in Japanese and that all Japanese could tricky and untrustful. My husband told me this and I just laughed at such ignorance. Especially, since most of my closest Japanese relatives don't even speak Japanese.
