Nash gets more credit then Kidd and Dirk and I'm not so convinced he's way better.

Good question. Jason Kidd and Steve Nash can both score and pass. The only difference is that Jason Kidd can rebound and get triple doubles. The reason why Nash gets so much more credit than Kidd is because the Phoenix Suns was a really bad team before Nash came along. He improved the Suns by 25 more wins in 2005 from 2004. People wants to see results and Nash provided that. Also, the Suns had the perfect complimentary players that fits well with Nash's style of play. If you compare apples with apples, obviously Jason Kidd is a better point guard since he averages 8 triple doubles a season.

people expect Kidd to perform by now, while Nash was carrying a really crappy team that just plain sucked without him on the court.
oh yeah and he a newer player.

because he's canadian. The mvp thing, come on, which canadian basketball lover didnt' vote from Nash. Once Nash got the award, the publicity just kept on comming
