i've seen a doc and am being treated for yeast infection...but what i was wondering is will a yeast infection make your entire crotch swell a bit and burn? or could i have another problem as well

It could do that. But then, it could be something else. If you're using a vaginal cream, maybe it's irritating you. It might help to eliminate sugar and starches from your diet (all) for a while if you really have a yeast infection. Would clear it up faster.

Yes it could be if the infection was really bad. If you're being treated by a doctor then I'm assuming you're taking an oral medicine. It will help but may take a few days to have complete relief. This is a home remedy but I promise it will help. Get a douche and empty it and rinse it out good. Then fill it with the coldest water you have and douche with it. I think something to do with the cold water slows down the growth of the yeast and relieves the symptoms until the oral medicine works.

Those are definite side effects from a yeast infection. The tissues are inflamed and very tender.
