Or conversely ...

What would happen if atheists suddenly realized there was a God at the end of their lives and therefore had to realize that all their arrogant, narrow-minded sniveling was a total waste of time and energy?

Every time I stand with open hands for God's help, hoping for some kind of a solution or solace for my problem, and especially when things are really hard to face, I used to wonder 'We trust and put all our life's hope on the unknown power hoping it is always there to help us and protect us, but what if there is no such!'

If I get to know there is no such a thing as God...frankly I am already afraid! I am a believer... cannot even think how I would feel if it was true! May be kind of broken!?!.

But wait! I have read that 'your belief is your protector'. So I hope my belief will protect me!

If they could face the prospect of oblivion after death then like the rest of humanity some would cope better than others , I think it would come down to the type of person they were . Some can cope and others would find it very hard . As such a scenario would make moral decisions much more problematical ( why do the right thing , there is now no good reason to , we would live for ourselves taking what we want from whom we want with no fear of retribution ) life would become very brutish very soon . ( witness the present brutality of today's criminals ,undeterred by ethical , religious or social sanctions to treat other people right) This is the legacy coming true daily in our brave post christian world, Enjoy !

First of all, to people of faith, this will never happen so it is silly to even think about. It would be like asking an unbeliever, "if suddenly the sun disappeared forever, how would you feel?" It just won't happen. However, to stretch the imagination for you a bit. I would be very sad, because this world really doesn't offer much comfort in our times of need or hurts.I am trusting that my son will not disappear. Jesus the Son of God.

Why are you so scared to believe? You believe in the wind, but you can't see it. It's because you can feel it, right? Can't you feel faith? If not, God bless you, because I feel it everyday and have experienced it's feelings. It's like before you ever feel in love and didn't know what love was. Then you feel in love and knew. That's how it is with faith. Faith has even scientific proof. When many people pray for one single thing at the same time, magically someone gets better. Is it the power of our minds? That's faith. I hope you find your lost soul because you are very frightened.

I think the people who had faith would be afraid, faith is believing in something you can't see or prove, that's a strong conviction. If everyone suddenly didn't have that certianty of God, surely they would be afraid of the unknown. Most people are, especially of the ones with faith.

"If all the people with 'faith' suddenly realized that there wasn't such a thing as God?"

An impossible scenario because I know God exists!

No

"Faith, God and Service" fulfills a number of desires in higher thinking that's hard wired into us. If we found God didn't exist then we would find something else to fulfill those desires.

When you think about it, a faith that there is no god is actually a faith itself called Atheism.

Your question doesn't make too much sense.

All people have faith. Some have faith in God, and some people have faith in the view that chance has the power to create all we can see, even incredibly complex living creatures like men.

Nothing to fear. Just imagine another situation that all the people without faith suddenly realizes that the there is God.

Horrible, isn't it?
