I get my dsl through Verizon and don't have a phone hooked up. I did have a phone but i shut it off cause my son wouldn't stay off it. I don't talk on the phone much and have a cell so I didn't need it. If you can get it where you are it's called a dry loop, previously known as "naked dsl" which was deemed not to be pc. It costs about $5 more than the dsl, but the phone was costing me 3 times that.

First, I'd like to ask if you know what "DSL" stands for? It means "Digital Subscriber Line". And without a 'phone line' there is NO WAY to have even a 56K modem connection to the internet, much less a faster DSL connection.
Having DSL service without a phone line to connect with is like having a cell phone with no service provider. What good is it??
Assuming you can find a low cost phone line and don't want to subscribe to AT&T or Verizon for a innexpensive DSL service, I suggest you visit Http://Www.DSLExteme.com as I know they have a plan as low as $19.95 a month and maybe lower. Good Luck!!

I believe that SBC now AT&T is actually offering DSL connection/service even without the phone service. I am not really sure how much its gonna cost though. But most likely, it's more expensive. For inquiries, you can call their sales department at 18887923751. Hope this would help. Ü

AT&T(SBC) has something to offer where your phone service provider would be different and AT&T would provide high speed internet DSL internet service. Call 1-877-722-3755. or visit www.att.com
