Say you've been chatting with this person for two weeks straight, you chat almost every day, you have good chat converstaions, and you like a lot the same things, do you thinks its ok or safe to give you cell number to this person, I consider him an online friend. First I wouldn't give out personal details on line. You have know idea who you are really talking too. Remember anyone could lie and tell you things you want to hear.
If you want to arrange a meeting do it by asking the person to a very public place (like a food court in a mall) and go with a good friend of yours for support in case things don't work out..
That's the advice my parents give my sisters.
My mum is cute she always give my sisters enough money to take a taxi home when they go on a date; just in case their boyfriends drink too much or something goes wrong.

Nope do not give him ur number. You guys need to meet in person first somewhere far away from ur house and then if they are what they say they are then u persue the relationship but if not then just get in ur car and ride go away and don't turn around!

I see no problem with you giving him your cell phone number usually you will get red flags when chatting or strange vibs then I wouldn't but if you feel comfortable with it go ahead and talk on the cell.
