All "natural disasters" are punishments from God... @ least thats what I think. He is warning us that we are not being very good with the place he has created for us to live in so he sends a message our way. Even though He resents killing people... people are killing people too and the Earth. So yes.. I believe so Hurricane Katrina is warning us...

No it was a punishment from earth
the earth will correct imbalances in its own enviroment
sometimes the corrections cause catasrophic results
