According to the UN
"The United Nations ranked Norway as the best country to live in for a sixth consecutive year Thursday, prompting the country's aid minister to tell Norwegians to stop whining about wanting more.
Oil-rich Norway, with its generous welfare state, topped the U.N. Development Program's human development index, based on such criteria as life expectancy, education and income. Iceland was No. 2, followed by Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Canada, Japan and the United States."

USA is not a country with most freedom in the world. There are way too many laws and regulations beyond interest of public safety.
I love this country because it's still fairly young and I believe it still has more hopes and I might can contribute some to it and be proud of it.
But when not wearing safety belt in your own car became a crime while talking on sell phone is not in most of places, see the all the money raised then waisted for nothing after Katrina, or simply the old debate of drinking age came up on conversation, I wish I am living in somewhere in Europe, prefer Holland, for it's beauty.
BTW, after 9-11, somehow, it's okay to play national anthem in anywhere, any time, it's playing in the speaker while people shopping and no body stops anymore. I am having a hard time to deal with this. What can I say, I am an old fashion.

Singapore = Low crime, Low tax, Primary education is compulsory in Singapore so great for your kids.people could walk in any park in the city and not worry of been a crime victim.nearly corruption-free.Singapore is also a multi-religious country, so you could expect a lot of culture around the world.
But Smoking is nearly ban in public,
A Honda civic 1.8 cost US$50000 not include COE [ Certificate of Entitlement]( a kind of car Tax)
a 2000sq housing estates may cost least US$100000
Although Singapore's laws are inherited from British and British Indian laws, but Laws restricting the freedom of speech
Amnesty International has criticised Singapore for having "possibly the highest execution rate in the world"
But is still a nice place to if you under 25 of age, life get bored after that as there no great night spot.and you wouldn't buy a Nissan Skyline to just show of at the expressway at a island with on a 48 km from one end to another.
