Amanda Samuels is normal. She lives alone with her mother. But recently she discovered there is more to the world than she thinks. She discovers that her best friend and her mother are hunters, and that her best friend Lil is a immortal shapeshifter. The Immortal creatures are called Dusk creatures, and they rule the night. The people who hunt these creatures are called Dawn. Amanda has just discovered that since her mother is a hunter and her father was turned to a vampire, she is a Gray. A Gray rules both worlds. They get a power boost during dawn and dusk, but with this power comes a terrible price. Many Gray's commit suicide or are killed because of the grisly decisions they must and the pain those decisions cause them.

Here's and excerpt.
Daemon’s eyes went silver, with no trace of black. The dim lights did not reflect within them. He had heard legends of such a person. They attracted both hunters and supernatural creatures. A Gray was always born to a hunter and a human. A Gray’s human parent was always turned, either to a were or to a vamp or a shifter. Daemon’s eyes widened as he recalled the rivalry between himself and the hunter he knew as Sunslash. Amanda had never mentioned her father, and he’d heard her complain repeatedly to Lil about her mother’s late night trips. But Amanda, his Amanda, could not be the Gray. She could not be a thing that was just as powerful during dusk as she was during dawn, could not be the thing that ruled bother worlds. She seemed so unsuspecting, so naive. She had not seemed to notice the Dawn lines surrounding her home. She carried no weapons, nor had any idea of what he was.

Ok, her father was human when she was born. He was turned.

Excerpt:She slipped a gold locket that her husband, Daniel, had given her for Mother’s Day when she was 10. Inside was a picture of Lauren’s vanished husband and Lauren, with Manda sitting between them. Daniel had disappeared about two years ago. He had gone out one night to buy a bottle of champagne to celebrate Lauren’s birthday and had not returned. They had found the old Dodge Neon on the outskirts of the city, near the river. There had been no body to accompany the vehicle.
“Just another thing those damn bloodsuckers have taken from me. My mother and father, and then Daniel. I’ll be as damned as them if they get Manda.” Lauren said aloud to herself.

Actually, she was predestined to be a Gray, but no one could be entirely sure until after her father was turned. Then her mother knew for sure what she was, but Amanda thought her father had just dissapeared.

Your book seems like a fantasy or science fiction book. Books like this are really popular these days. If you're a great writer, I think it'll do great.
I wouldn't mind seeing a preview. Judging from what you wrote it seems interesting and you're a good writer.

A very interesting idea. I would read it. Though you should carefully explain the father turning into a vampire. How could Amanda be from a vampire and a hunter? The idea of a woman having a vampirish child is what I'm getting at.

No, wait a second. Her father was human, but got turned? How does that affect a child that's already born is what I'm asking.
