There have been a few times that the in-laws have just plain forgotten about me (or ignored, but not forgot.) The worst is my birthday. I've been married for 18 years, and my parents have not once forgotten my wife's birthday. I'm lucky if these guys will come up to me two months later and say "Hey. didn't you have a birthday a while back?"

Yes, I've received them from time to time. I really enjoy a fruit cake if it is of high quality.

i would advise you not to give one for christmas. it makes you look cheap and anyway people throw them out. if you're gonna bring any desserts bake something no one will bring. be original be fresh. christmas fruit cake is boring and old.

I received it one Christmas and decided to give it to the squirrels instead of throwing it out. Believe it or not they wouldn't eat it!
