Democrats have already clearly stated how they intend to "get to work" over the next two years - by helping Bush push through a mass amnesty for illegal aliens - something his own republican House even prevented him doing - and also wasting time on the non-issue of the minimum wage.

Will raising the minimum wage and legalizing all illegal aliens re-instate the nine amendments to the Constitution that were abolished under the Military Commissions Act? Get rid of the domestic eavesdropping program? Claw back the out of control deficit?

We were told the Republicans were abandoned because of corruption and Iraq and yet the democrats have completely avoided specifics about how they intend to address these issues and on the question of impeachment have vowed to protect Bush.

Will there be dissapointment when the democrats commit the very crimes and misdemeanors that supposedly cost them the House and Senate in the first place?

Hence all the happy talk about bi-partisianship.

I am going to give them some time. But I admit the early talk does sound like they are ready to kiss some tail. I'm more than just a little concerned with the way things are starting out Pelosi's nose is looking a little darker than it did a few days ago.

You make a point. This may work out well for Bush. He will be able to get issues passed he could not before and by "working" with the Dems can have them compromise some other things though. This may prevent him from being a lame duck. Minimum wage is a non issue. We already have to support families on minimum wage so instead of food stamps they can just get paid more. I do hope the Dems investigate more into Bushes motives for attacking Iraq, but I don't think they will go there either.

It's always so easy to talk smack and garbage when standing on the sidelines. Bush has had a very unenviable six years, with nothing but ridicule and insults from the left. Nancy Pelosi should be careful what she wishes for, now the eyes of America will be watching her every move and she better be careful she may slip on that water she's been walking on. As the folks from Missouri say "show me" cause the time for talking is over.

Is that like, those who are Jubilant, who by definition are also Mindless? or just those who happen to be both Jubilant AND Mindless? Was it by accident or design that you left out in the cold those who hold the Dems as "Darlings", but are neither Jubilant nor Mindless. And what about that whole mass (I suspect) of people who were just quietly satisfied, but don't hold the Dems as Darlings? By definition, I guess none of these could be Jubilant, but do you have a number (that you can substantiate) of how many are Mindless. Actually, responding to this is leaving me feeling a little Mindless myself. Does that make me a Jubilant Dem Darling by default?

Why Independents are so devastating to American politics. They foment discontent with the current administration and provide a worse alternative.

YOUR worse alternative? Your call.

My worse alternative is Democratic spending. Married with the disappointing administration's spending. I've seen all the liberal appeasement I need to see.

I hate all politicians, democrats are no better than republicans. They all lie. I simply voted against all incumbents, unfortunately Marilyn Muskrat is still in...when will that freak DIE?
